How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I had a yacht and a Captain's license and was very active with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. A Coast Guard Captain had difficulty finding a Maritime Funeral Service to scatter his father's ashes - When he asked the CO of the nearby CG Boat Station I was recommended. From there we established the business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I'm not aware of any similar Maritime Funeral Services in the area but in other parts of the country they are big business and handle thousands of scatterings a year. We are a small family run operation that specializes in very personal tailored services.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our office is in Uxbridge MA and the yacht is based in Warwick RI and operates out of Narragansett Bay.

Most of our customers come from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut but family members fly in for attended services from all over the country. People ship ashes to us for unattended services from all over the country.

What are your hours of operation?
24X7 for telephone calls answered by Captain Morin personally. Maritime funeral services are all scheduled by appointment and subject to weather conditions.
