The Winstead Inn consists of two buildings: the main building (thirteen rooms and suites) and the Chandlery(Originally a town variety store dating back to 1900) consisting of two units (Port and Starboard). The Great Room with stone fireplace looks out over the swimming pool(heated to 86'-Memorial Day weekend-Columbus Day) and gardens as well as the outdoor court yard and fountain. Our complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from this room with seating inside and out. The Inn's private shuttle(high season) will transport(1.5 miles) our guests to and from our private beachfront Beach Resort in Harwich Port on Nantucket Sound. All Winstead Inn guests have full use of our Beach Resort amenities.
The Beach Resort is truly beach front with our exclusive guest only private stretch of Nantucket Sound boasting the warmest of Cape Cod waters. At this location you can truly park your car till it is time to leave.
Most of our fourteen guest rooms have some ocean view but all of our common areas(Ocean Room, wrap around covered porch and beach decks) have sweeping views. Our complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in the Ocean Room and may be enjoyed inside at a table or fire-side or beach-side under an umbrella or even in the sand.
