How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The owner of Monster Movers previously worked for one of the best moving companies in Boston as a manager in college. He saw many problems with transparency of the moving industry, compromised management and logistical issues. He build Monster Moving and Storage with the blessing of his former employer.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our long distance moving logistics is the most substantial variation between us and other movers in Boston. Our logistics allow us to price moves at 10-25% less than other long distance movers. Plus, we also guarantee delivery dates and never charge the extra junk fees like shuttle fees, taxes, tolls, long haul, stairs, mileage charge, fuel surcharge etc.
We are the only movers in Boston that will do on-site estimates and have flat rates for moves.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Monster Movers has 5 locations in Massachusetts: Boston, Worcester, Weymouth, Andover, and Newton. We are opening a smaller moving and storage facility in Plymouth, MA in 2017. We have also expanded into other states: FL, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, NC, SC, GA, TX, CA, IL, TN, CO

This particular location is managed by Toby. He schedules crews, tracks materials, paperwork, etc.
