How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
During college, I worked as a mover for a local moving company in Boston. I realized then what a negative view customers has about typical movers in Boston - and most of the times rightfully so. In 1997, there happened to be a lot of corruption, bait/switch tactics, and bullying by moving companies in Boston towards customers. Then, I decided to open my own moving company to provide a trustworthy, role model moving and storage company to the state of Massachusetts.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our brand stands alone in many ways, here is a quick list:
1. Transparent, flat rate pricing
2. Guaranteed delivery and pick up days for long distance shipments
3. A clean, organized move - moving blankets are steamed weekly
4. Low Carbon Trucks - our fleet is well-maintained, all of our trucks are less than 3 years old and low carbon

Monster Movers has locations in Boston, Worcester, Newton, Andover, Weymouth, Boylston and Providence in the metro-Boston area. We will be opening a satellite location in Cambridge this summer and will be expanding in other states.
