You don’t get 5 stars from so many people unless it’s true! Beth and Steve are the real deal!
New England Gem Appraisals has a real office and with all their diplomas, you immediately know they are the consummate professionals in their field. Be sure to set up an appointment with them, an easy thing to do through their website. They responded quickly to my initial inquiry.
I did not need to leave my jewelry with them, a huge bonus and relief. My jewelry never left my sight. They did the initial evaluation and photography during the appointment. My appraisal was mailed to me a few days later. It was a bound book, very different from my previous one-page jewelry store appraisals.
During the appointment, they gave me all sorts of extra information about my diamonds, something no one else ever did. I was finally able to see what my diamond really looked like!
It’s an incredible experience that I never expected from “you need to get a new appraisal in order to get new insurance”.
It was actually fun and educational.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND New England Gem Appraisals! (And the European Bakery shop downstairs is a real plus!)

New England Gem Appraisals is the BEST! Other appraisers say they are “independent” or “certified” but really aren’t. They either work for jewelry stores, buy gold, sell diamonds, or have some other side business. After a lot of research, I can tell you that Beth is the ONLY INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED SENIOR JEWELRY APPRAISER in New England. I learned so much about my jewelry from Beth when she did my appraisals, worth more than I paid her! Before she was only in Kennebunk Maine, and I am so glad she opened an office in North Andover. She was worth traveling to before, but the convenience of her being in Massachusetts is fabulous. If you haven’t chosen Beth before, you haven’t seen the BEST!

I can't say enough great things about Beth. Having made a big purchase online, I wanted to make sure I was getting what I paid. Beth’s expertise and knowledge reassured me about my purchase.
At the appointment Beth made me feel comfortable right from the start. I was free to ask any of the many questions I had about the ring. She explained to me exactly what she was doing each step while evaluating the jewelry. Best of all, Beth was very honest and unbiased. I never felt any pressure to get an appraisal because I was just there to get some verification on my purchase.
I would not hesitate to refer any friends or family to come see Beth. I will definitely come see Beth again for any jewelry assistance or advice.
