How long have you been in business?
Safety Equipped, Inc. has been in business since March 2008.
What is your primary product or service?
Safety Training. Specializing in Mobile Elevating Work Platform (a/k/a Aerial Lift) Training, Forklift Training, and OSHA Training. Training sessions are provided for employers and employees in the Construction, Manufacturing and General Industries. In addition to the previously mentioned trainings, I also provide training in Lockout/Tagout, GHS Training, Confined Space, Excavation, Fall Protection, Safety Talk Meeting Presentations, and Safety Plans-designed to the needs of individual companies. Safety Equipped, Inc. is approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Continuing Education School for a 1C and 1D Hoisting License.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
With over a decade of experience working for equipment rental companies, specifically Aerial Lifts and Forklifts, teaching employers and employees the safe operation of equipment is very gratifying. If one person takes something away from a safety training session that will help to keep them safe and their co-workers safe on a job site or manufacturing facility, is a good thing. Students not only learn from me as an instructor, but also learn from each other and watch out for each other with the knowledge they gain from safety training sessions. This is a benefit to their employer also. If everyone goes home safely at the end of the day, then it's a job well done.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
By providing the Safety Training session to the customer at their location or a location convenient to them and being flexible with scheduling training sessions around the customers work schedule.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one office location. However, the training location opportunities are endless as safety training sessions are conducted at the customers location, job-site or a location convenient to my customers. I provide training in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York.

Safety Equipped, Inc. is located out of Southeastern Massachusetts but as I mentioned previously, I take the safety training experience to the customer at their location or a location that is convenient for them.
