How long have you been in business?
I have been tutoring full time for over 6 years.
What is your primary product or service?
I will tutor students in their homes in Chemistry, Biology, Algebra, and any of the various standardized tests.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am a certified teacher and have usually had a training component in my job descriptions as a biomedical laboratory researcher and a biotechnology quality assurance manager. Teaching is so personally rewarding and so much fun!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My long experience working in the sciences allows me to make the textbooks come alive to the students, with personal anecdotes of scientific research and a deep understanding of scientific theory and principles. I have used algebra extensively throughout my career, and strive to show how much we all use it in everyday life.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work alone now and travel to students' homes. I would love to have more tutors, as I did previously, but the economy needs to improve more.

I wil travel to students in Roslindale, West Roxbury and nearby Boston neighborhoods, as well as the suburbs south of Boston, including Dedham, Norwood, Westwood, Walpole, Milton, Needham, Newton, Canton, etc.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am sole owner and tutor.
