451 Marketing was founded in 2004 by two forward-thinking interactive marketing veterans who recognized the need for a new approach to lead generation. The steep decline of traditional media and the rapid emergence of new media technologies only strengthened their position that broadcast, mass-media approaches were becoming a thing of the past. They wanted to create a communications agency that could offer companies a way to better connect, engage, and acquire new customers through what today is known as "inbound marketing".
