Customer Reviews for Antique Roadhouse

What a find! Where has this store been hiding for 10 years? I came upon the Antique Roadhouse while looking online for a secretary desk / bookcase for my new office. What I found was a stunning 1870s Empire desk for a lot less than I expected to have to ever have to pay. So, I bought it that day! Although, I do check Mr. Himmel's web site quite frequently, I'm afraid to go back into that store. Everywhere, I looked they had the most gorgeous antiques. My eyes say YES, my credit cards say, NO, I say, SOON!

I love poking around the Antique Roadhouse, he has the best furniture at the most reasonable prices. And, unlike most other so called antique stores, his shop is nice and clean, the pieces beautifully displayed just like you see on his web site. God Bless Andrew, he deserves his success, Lord knows he works hard enough for it. I give this a thumbs up, WAY UP!

Mr. Himmel was such a wonderful find for us when we lost our mother and needed to settle her estate. He spent hours going from the cellar to the attic, told us what was worth saving, what wasn't and what everything was worth. At the end of the 3+ hours he suggested he what we needed wasn't him. What was better was someone who will auction off the good stuff and throw away they junk plus broom clean mom's house. I didn't even know there were such people. He even suggested a few auctioneers for us to call and mentioned several we should stay clear of. What we learned from Andrew is nothing like what I now know is silly nonsense from the TV shows that fill peoples heads with visions of gold. When we asked him how much we owed him for all his valuable time he gave us on a 90 degree day that turned out to be his only day of the week off and he told us "zero". We just mailed him a check for what my husband the physician said would be worth 3 hours of his own time. We both felt that was only fair considering all the really terrific advice he gave us. Andrew might be a little short and gruff when you first meet him but under that veneer beats a truly Christian heart. Or as my husbands says, a real mench.

This is a really fun place to shop and the only true antique store left in Norwood / Westwood / Dedham area. A days doesn't go by that I don't check Andrew's web site for the newest fun finds. We have an 10 room home and almost everyone of those rooms has something from the Antique Roadhouse!
