Established in 1971, HOPE is a nonprofit statewide community organization that operates "community support resource centers" in Boston, Lawrence and Springfield. Through these centers HOPE delivers a range of youth development programs and services dedicated to student success, college readiness, health promotion, prevention education and youth peer leadership development. HOPE also provides services and opportunities for adults to participate in community health promotion, health disparities reduction initiatives, and health careers workforce development services. The Boston Alliance for Early Education is a program sponsored by HOPE. Each year, HOPE sponsors the Annual HOPE College Fair, the HOPE Earned Income Tax Credit Filing Assistance Clinics, the Annual HOPE Latino HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and the Annual HOPE Community Cares Day. HOPE is affiliated with the United Way of Mass Bay and Merrimack Valley, the National Council of La Raza, the National Council of Higher Education Partnerships, and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health.
