27th Boston Film Festival 2011
The Boston Film Festival is one of America's longest running and most recognized celebrations of film. The 27th program will run September 16-22 at the Stuart Street Playhouse in the heart of Boston's theater district. Feature, Documentary, Animated and Short films are the categories open to filmmakers. The 2011 Festival will present a schedule of entertaining, insightful, educational, and cutting-edge films. Audiences engage in lively question-and-answer sessions with the director and actors following every screening. Multiple awards laud performance, direction, cinematography, film excellence, editing and others. A myriad of preeminent actors and filmmakers have been honored at the BFF, including most recently; Oscar and Golden Globe winner for Best Supporting Actress Melissa Leo, Ed Burns, Sam Rockwell, Leslie Bibb, Uma Thurman, Greg Kinnear, Dane Cook, Val Kilmer, Jerry Weintraub, Sir Ridley Scott, Annette Benning, Robert Parker, and Kevin Spacey, among others.
